This is my latest piece and I painted it for Lorene but she hasn't seen it yet. I wonder what her response to it will be. My daughter Amanda loves this piece and she is often my first critic and never afraid to be brutally honest which I always appreciate. We had friends out for supper on Saturday and everyone who saw it, also liked it. It actually looks better up close because there is a lot of texture which is not seen on the computer. The size is 3'x5' and is painted on wide edge canvas.

This is a painting that I started Friday night. I prepped the canvas with moulding paste by laying out the design making sure there is movement and texture and then I allow it to dry over night. The next day, I start to lay on the color and this takes some thinking and deciding what colors and where to put them and probably the longest process to me, because I tend to think a lot about it. This is as far as I managed to get because I ended up spending a few hours in the kitchen cooking and making bread and cheese buns. I will work on it and post all my next efforts later this week.
